Around 25 minutes of music which was given to participants on MP3 players to inspire them as they moved through the stations of the meditation labyrinth.
Three contrasting pieces from the set are included in the Jukebox.
A little piece in Celtic mood for a lady returning to Scotland.
"I really love it; no-one has ever given me such a beautiful going away present" - Cynthia S
This piece appears as No. 6 in the Jukebox. No bagpipes were harmed during the recording of this music. Indeed, none were used. The bagpipe part was played by a particularly raucous digital oboe.
See the Absolute Zero page for a sample of my work for this group.
"This is a super piece of writing" - Ross Cohen on 'The Absolute Zero Rag'
I greatly enjoy writing for flute ensembles. Sprites (for an advanced quartet) and Distant Stars (which offers something out of the ordinary for a mixed-ability school flute choir) are included in the Jukebox
"If you'd like to write another piece I'd be absolutely delighted!" - Clare Hale, Flute Ensemble Director
A seven-year old violinist, a ten-year old pianist (and flautist) and mum is learning the flute too! There's something for everyone (athough not all at the same time). One of their pieces is in the Jukebox. It's called Waltzing Wombats. One of my better wombat pieces.
"The Waltzing Wombats is excellent" - Jon (aged 10)
"Despite the challenging timescale, the music you composed for the Crossover Festival was excellent. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive...many thanks for your work in this composition" - John Orr, Crossover Management Group
